Students: Studying topics that will not be on the exam.

 Dear readers,

Today I was scrolling through WhatsApp status and noticed a very funny but serious quote which every past, current and future student would at some point agree with and that is:

"Someone right now is studying a topic that will not come in the exam."

I laughed so loudly because I was once that 'someone'. Are you that someone or have you ever been? As a lecturer, I feel empathy for students because I was once "in their shoes"; this is why I provide exam tips and topics to study. Unfortunately, not every student has this luxury. Let's paint the picture below:

The exam day is approaching, tensions are high and you almost feel as though you are about to suffer a panic attack. You are flipping pages, researching online, trying to find emails, handouts and presentations the Lecturer sent and so on. If you believe in GOD, you may even ask Him to tell you what to study.

So, there you are, very confident that the topics you spent hours studying will definitely come: after all, they cannot possibly leave out these topics, right? On the day of the exam, you nervously look at the exam and eagerly browse all the questions to find the ones for which you studied, but to your horror, none can be found.

Here's a little motivation:

" Even when preparation meets disappointment, it is still no excuse for you to even entertain the thought of failing."

You will succeed!

Yours for excellence,

The Motivated Counsellor
